Chloe’s First Birthday

I can’t believe Chloe is 1 year old! Well… we think she is 1. We got Chloe on November 5 and they said that she was 4 months old, so it just made sense to make her birthday on July 4th. It’s easier to remember and we always have the day off, so it makes it that much easier. That being said, I couldn’t be more obsessed with this kid, she’s so smart and has so much personality that I never expected in a dog.

I can’t believe Chloe is already a year old and that we’ve had her for 8 months! It feels like we just picked her up from the shelter yesterday! It’s been such an adjustment having a dog and I never expected myself to get attached to something so organically. I never thought I’d hate to leave her home alone and take her everywhere with us. I never thought she’d have so much personality and express her emotions through whimpers and idiosyncrasies. I never thought that I’d be able to fall asleep with a dog who insists on sleeping with her head on my chest. But here we are, 8mo and 50lbs later, this little doggy has become my first child.

This photo is from November 2017 when Chloe was just 4 months old and 24 lbs…. she’s know 70 lbs so fingers crossed she is full grown!
