Halloween Door Decor – Floating Witches Hats

It’s should be no shock that I love decorating my front door for the different seasons and holidays. And, even though, Halloween is one of my least favorite holidays, I still love decorating for it! A trend I keep seeing in Pinterest are these floating witches hats and I had to jump on the bandwagon because they are still so cute!

The first thing I do when planning out a space is draw it out. I’m not very good, but it does give me an idea of where to put things and identify any holes that need to be filled. Sadly, it also helps me keep track of how much I’ve spent, and what products to buy.

How to hang the witches hats:

Once I have everything drawn, planned out and purchased, the actual time to decorate is minimal. The floating witches hats took a little longer but was extremely easy. I strung normal sewing thread through the points of the hat, wrapped the end around a thumb tack, and stuck it to the top of the porch frame. Honestly the longest part was cutting the strings and looping it through the needle. 🙂
