April Door Decor – Easter Bunnies

April Door Decor – Easter Bunnies
April Door Decor – Easter Bunnies

Is it even spring decor if you don’t have bunnies? It’s finally April, which marks the official start of spring decor. This year I haven’t decorated my door with flowers, but rather classic bunnies and eggs in the basic bitch Easter colors: pink, purple, and (of course) blue.

I won’t lie, I don’t LOVE Easter decor. Growing up, my mom was never a fan of pastel colors, and it’s turned me off from them as well. So I wanted to avoid the traditional pastels as much as possible. I also  wanted to keep this door inexpensive, which is the perfect excuse to do some DIYs!

For an inexpensive little DIY I painted these large Easter eggs and they turned out so well! I got these jumbo, plastic, Easter eggs for $1 each at Hobby Lobby and the extra large one I got at Michael’s for $9. I then painted them (2 coats) in pink and they turned out amazing ! Word of warning, these are not waterproof at all, so don’t leave them out in the rain 🙂

Since I wasn’t able to change my wreath (keep reading to find out why), I needed to add something fun to the door. So I bough these wood carrots on Amazon (set of 20 for $10!) and painted them the same pink color as the eggs. I even left some in the natural wood color to tie in with the wood sign. Honestly, I glued these on my door with normal Elmer’s glue and it worked just fine, didn’t chip the paint or anything.

Over the last couple years, wood front porch signs have become a staple and I love them! I love the height they add! I found this bunny ear Welcome sign at Kirklands for $39 and it was worth every penny. How cute are those bunny ears?!

When I stepped back and looked at my door I noticed it didn’t have any blue! If you’ve seen my Instagram then you’ll know I can’t not have blue in my decor. So I found this super cute blue bunny doormat at Amazon for $19. But I found some super cute ones on Etsy as well!

We have a surprise guest this year, little baby birds that have made a nest in my wreath. At first I was annoyed because I won’t be able to change my wreath for a couple months, but getting to watch these little guys grow has been so much fun!
