Holiday Baking – Gingerbread Cake

Holiday Baking – Gingerbread Cake

We’ve been working from home a couple of months now … let’s be honest it’s been almost a year … and I decided to take up my hobby of baking again ! I use to bake a lot in college and it slowly teetered off when I started working. But I’ve now had time to set up a Pinterest board so the inspiration is flowing!  When I think of Christmas baking I think of gingerbread cookies, but I’m not a huge fan of cookies so I wanted to make a cake! Then I could also take advantage of some cream cheese frosting!

My Santa Wishlist !

Yes, I’m almost 30 and Santa still comes to my parents house ! Which means I have to make another Christmas list 🙂 I like to look on the bright side and see it as more presents for me !!

My Actual 2020 Christmas List

My Actual 2020 Christmas List

I know this is the time of year when bloggers put out their Christmas/Holiday wish lists and honestly, we all know it’s fake. This isn’t really what they are asking for…. until now. This is my actual Christmas wish list!

Halloween Door Decor – Floating Witches Hats

Halloween Door Decor – Floating Witches Hats

It’s should be no shock that I love decorating my front door for the different seasons and holidays. And, even though, Halloween is one of my least favorite holidays, I still love decorating for it! A trend I keep seeing in Pinterest are these floating witches hats and I had to jump on the bandwagon because they are still so cute!

DIY – Stacked Log Effect

DIY – Stacked Log Effect

I’ve been seeing this stacked log fireplace insert all over Instagram and I love it. Having the television over the fireplace is difficult for decorating and also results in two black boxes that take up most of the fireplace. So this is the perfect solution for me! I was all on board for buying one of these on Etsy, but  $200 seemed ridiculous. I managed to make my own for around $75!

Painting Wallpaper – Half Bath Makeover

Painting Wallpaper – Half Bath Makeover

I’m so excited to FINALLY be able to share my parent’s half bath makeover! I feel like we’ve been working on this project for 3 months versus 3 weeks. I will warn you, painting over wallpaper is not for the faint of heart and takes some serious prep work before you can actually get to painting. But the end pay off is so rewarding!

4th of July Patio Decor!

4th of July Patio Decor!

Happy (almost) 4th of July! One of my favorite things about blogging is the ability to put up holiday decor before the actual holiday! It’s the perfect excuse! Here is my 4th of July patio for all those backyard grilling parties we can’t have because of COVID … but we can always decorate just for ourselves and family 😉

Backyard Patio Revamp!

Hi Friends! My backyard patio is finally finished! … Until I decide to change something else. I love my color choice of black, white, and green,it’s such a classic look and hopefully I’ll never get bored of it.

Half Bath Updated & a Black Accent Wall

Half Bath Updated & a Black Accent Wall

Well, hello there online friends! It’s been far too long since I posted on my blog (so much for that New Year’s Resolution). I’m so glad I finally had time this weekend to sit down and write a blog post about how I updated my half bathroom. It all started out with me wanting to paint a wall black, so I picked the smallest wall in the house 🙂

Hotel Review – Anteliz Suites in Santorini, Greece

Hotel Review – Anteliz Suites in Santorini, Greece

To be honest, out of all the hotels we’re staying at in Greece, I was most looking forward to Santorini. I couldn’t wait to see the blue dome churches and the amazing sunsets. So it makes sense that I had a long list of requirements for my Santorini hotel. Shockingly enough I was able to find a hotel that met everything on my checklist. But it’s one thing to look good on paper, but another to have an amazing experience. Keep reading to see how this hotel measures up to an uptight tourist.
