DIY – Laundry Room Makeover – Part 1

DIY – Laundry Room Makeover – Part 1

We’re finally doing Part 1 of the Laundry Room update! We did this room completely out of order but that’s okay! It’s finally time to add the countertop over the washer and dryer. This will add so much functional space, maybe I’ll actually fold the laundry the same day I wash it!

DIY – Dog Outdoor Doghouse

DIY – Dog Outdoor Doghouse

Am I the only dog owner who looks at all these advanced kids playhouses and thinks ‘I bet my dog would like that’ ? Or even, ‘as a grownup I would like that’ ? I think about this every time I go onto Pinterest and look at cool doghouses! So I decided to do something about it – I made a super cool doghouse for my dog for less than $150. Now, if only she will use it 🙂

April Door Decor – Easter Bunnies

April Door Decor – Easter Bunnies

Is it even spring decor if you don’t have bunnies? It’s finally April, which marks the official start of spring decor. This year I haven’t decorated my door with flowers, but rather classic bunnies and eggs in the basic bitch Easter colors: pink, purple, and (of course) blue.

DIY – Laundry Room Makeover – Part 3

I know, I know, I’m going out of order for my laundry room makeover. But, bear with me, I got chicken with the cabinets so I needed a little win to build up my confidence 🙂 So I’ve started my laundry room makeover with the peel and stick tile flooring. I just love this update because it only cost me $26, about 2 hours of work, and it makes such a huge difference! The laundry room is finally starting to have some character.

Half Bath Updated & a Black Accent Wall

Half Bath Updated & a Black Accent Wall

Well, hello there online friends! It’s been far too long since I posted on my blog (so much for that New Year’s Resolution). I’m so glad I finally had time this weekend to sit down and write a blog post about how I updated my half bathroom. It all started out with me wanting to paint a wall black, so I picked the smallest wall in the house 🙂

Christmas Front Porch

Christmas Front Porch

One of the first things I do, ie get to do, for my Christmas decor is the front porch. My husband loves Thanksgiving so he never lets me put up a single Christmas decoration until after Thanksgiving. Luckily, I can usually get away with decorating the front porch a week early … because he never goes out there.

Monthly Mini Makeover – Master Bath (Part 1)

Monthly Mini Makeover – Master Bath (Part 1)

Since I purchased my little townhome two years ago, I’ve been very fortunate in that I haven’t had to any major renovations. The home was only a year and a half old when we bought it so everything is in great shape. Since it’s all in such good condition, I can’t bring myself to spend the money on renovating rooms that don’t fit my particular style. For example, I love the idea of having white cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms, BUT it’s such a huge undertaking to replace and even paint cabinets that it just doesn’t make much sense. That being said, in the last couple months, I’ve been able to brainstorm ways to transform my master bath into the southern-glam feel that I’m going for, without breaking the bank or doing any major renovations.
