WE WENT TO GREECE ON OUR HONEYMOON! I’ve wanted to come here for so long and I’m so glad/lucky/blessed to finally get to go! But, let’s get real, it’s expensive AF to go to Greece and getting there can be a pain in the butt. One of my favorite things to brag about on this blog is how I’m able to pay for my vacations using points that I accumulated through airline, hotel, and credit card points. So, this trip is no exception!
One thing that I’ve learned from earning and using points is that Chase Ultimate Rewards points are wonderful and go a long way when booking your vacation, but they are not always the best option. Depending on where and when you’re going, sometimes the best option could be transfer Chase points or to even not use points and spend the money.
I just completed my two night stay at the Park Hyatt in Buenos Aires and it was spectacular, I’ve never stayed at a more luxurious hotel with so much culture and history!
Sadly, we had to return from our all-inclusive Jamaica paradise and come back to reality. Jamaica was such a dream and the only thing missing… was Chloe, although it was nice sleeping in past 7 am in a ginormous king size bed! We were in paradise, this has been one of our favorite places to vacation, so far, and can’t wait to go back. I’d highly recommend everything that we did, it was all a once in a lifetime experience, checkout more details below.
Growing up, all-inclusive hotels got a bad rap, especially in the Caribbean. But I had read a couple reviews that Hyatt was opening one in Jamaica, and as a loyal Hyatt member, it peaked my interest. After visiting the property, my mind has forever been changed on all-inclusive hotels! This one is spectacular, not only the location but the staff and food are amazing!
Hi fellow hackers! We finally made it to Sedona! I’ve been wanting to come here for a while but couldn’t find a good time to take a 3 day weekend to fully experience Sedona. Side note: This is a continuation of my Travel Hacking Blog Series where I talk about how I use reward points to pay for my vacations. I’ll be posting a travel guide to Sedona that’ll detail what we did and more pictures but I wanted to do a separate post about how I used my airline and hotel points to pay for us to come here. We ended up only paying out of pocket for our food and activities!
The minute we entered Sedona it was magical. The red mountains are truly spectacular and must see! I was driving through winding mountain roads and wanted to pull over at every turn to take pictures of the scenery. Being from flat Texas, anytime I see mountains or anything other than hills, I start taking a lot of pictures. Anyways, I had been dreaming of Sedona for a while and finally over Labor Day weekend, the stars aligned and we were able to go.
Hi Friends! Welcome to the first part of this blog series on Travel Hacking ! There are so many great blogs out there for researching Travel Hacking and different techniques to use but this series will focus on my journey, and tricks, from start to finish. Now I’m not one of the pros, with 20+ credit cards, but throughout the last couple years I’ve developed a really good system for earning points and redeeming them for vacations. My goal is to lay out this series as if you were just starting out and had never heard of the term travel hacking. It’s also set up to be a step-by-step guide so let me know if you have any questions in the comments below, I use a lot of math for explaining things and sometimes I forget that not everyone understands math the way I do.
